About Alliant
Alliant Credit Union provides exclusive, lifetime benefit to employees and retirees of select employee groups, qualifying communities, family members and domestic partners. With nearly 260,000 members and over $7 billion in assets, we are the 7th largest U.S. credit union based on asset size.
Unlike publicly-held financial institutions, Alliant is a not-for-profit cooperative, so our members are the shareholders. All income after operating expenses and reserve allocations is returned to our members via higher dividends and lower loan rates than banks.
Alliant Credit Union is an Illinois chartered credit union, and as such, is under the supervision of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (DFPR) of the State of Illinois. Alliant’s share savings accounts are insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an independent agency of the federal government which administers the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).
